The des Claies domain, of which therea re still remaisn of the motte, belonged to Geoffroy des Claies, as attested by an official writ dated 1411. Situated on the territory of Asnières-sur-Vègre, considered to be the most beautiful village in the Maine region, and tucked away in a verdant setting, this attractive manor built in 1483 overlookin the River Vègre, is a typical late-15th century manor. It has been painstakingly resottred by its owner, who will be delighted to tell you about this place.
